Designing the Route Sheet Layout

You can define areas of data to display on each Route Sheet for a project created using this type, as well as decide the order in which these fields should appear. Available layout selections include status, firm, client, project, and workstep information.

The Route Sheet is essentially another view of the project, and is the view of the project that most people will see. Think of this Route Sheet as the electronic equivalent of your current paper Route Sheet or control sheet.

To manage project type route sheet layouts, do the following:

  1. Do one of the following to open the Types list:

    • In Dashboard. Click Application Links, and then click Configuration > Project types under Workstream.
    • In Workstream. On the Manage ribbon, click Types.
  2. Select a type in the grid and click in the button bar, or right-click and select Open from the menu to display the Project Type profile.
  3. Click Route Sheet Layout on the navigation panel.
  4. Click Status Information on the navigation panel.
  5. Do one or both of the following: 
    • Copy the route sheet layout from another project type. Click Copy on the button bar to use the route sheet information from another project type.
      1. Select a project type from the list.
      2. Click OK.
    • Assign selected areas to the route sheet. If you have copied the route sheet layout from another project type, you can still modify that information.
      • Assign selected areas. In the assigned grid, select an area that you want to assign to the route sheet, and then select the single right arrow.
      • Assign all areas. Click the double right arrows to assign all areas to the route sheet.
      • Unassign selected areas. In the selected grid, select an area to unassign from the route sheet, and then select the single left arrow.
      • Unassign all areas. Click the double left arrows to remove all areas from the selected grid.

        Note: Selecting this option does not remove assignments that have been saved to the project type, but only from the route sheet.

  6. Select an item in the right pane and click the move up or move down  button to change the order of the items in the route sheet.
  7. Complete route sheet layout selections on the following windows if you have selected to add them to your route sheet layout:
  8. Click one of the ClosedSave buttons or Cancel.
